Brittany Cartwright gave fans a long-awaited update on her divorce from Jax Taylor during a lively panel at BravoCon 2025, revealing that she hopes the split will finally be finalized by December. The former Vanderpump Rules star said the process has dragged on far longer than expected, and she placed the blame firmly on her estranged husband.
Cartwright told the audience that Taylor has been “holding it up”, making it difficult for her to move forward. She explained that after nearly a decade of trying to make their relationship work, she eventually had to accept that he was not going to change. The crowd responded with applause when she emphasised that those days are behind her.
The couple announced their separation in February 2024, and Cartwright officially filed for divorce in August 2024. Since then, she has focused on building a stable life for herself and their four-year-old son, Cruz, while also managing the emotional ups and downs of a high-profile breakup.
Cartwright also confirmed a major shift for her Bravo series, The Valley: Jax Taylor will not appear in Season 3. When asked directly if he would return, she replied, “Absolutely not,” prompting cheers from the crowd. Fans have long speculated that Taylor’s exit might bring a new tone to the show, and Cartwright agreed, saying the upcoming season feels “lighter” and “more fun” without the tension that often surrounded their relationship.
Despite the stress of the ongoing divorce, Cartwright said she is beginning to feel like herself again, enjoying her independence and finding strength in motherhood. She added that she is open to new beginnings but is prioritising stability and happiness for herself and her son above anything else.
While the final divorce date is not set, Cartwright’s comments make it clear she is ready to close this chapter. For fans, her BravoCon appearance signaled a confident and hopeful new version of the reality star, one determined to move forward on her own terms.
