Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza, describing it as “the most horrific forms of oppression and genocide” against the Palestinian people.

Saudi Arabia’s Strong Words

Speaking during an official address, Prince Faisal said that the scale of violence against Palestinians represented an unprecedented violation of international law. He emphasized that the continued assault on civilians could not be justified under any circumstances and demanded accountability from the international community.

The minister’s remarks marked one of the strongest public denunciations of Israel’s actions from Riyadh in recent months, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s alignment with growing global outrage over the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

International Law and Human Rights

Prince Faisal stressed that the protection of civilians, including women and children, is guaranteed under international law and humanitarian conventions. He criticized what he called Israel’s systematic targeting of essential infrastructure and civilian areas, arguing that such actions strip Palestinians of their basic rights to safety, dignity, and survival.

“The Palestinian people are facing horrific genocide due to the ongoing assault,” he said, adding that this level of destruction represents an “unprecedented violation of international law.”

Saudi Arabia urged the United Nations, world powers, and human rights bodies to take urgent steps to halt the violence and hold Israel accountable. Prince Faisal warned that silence from the global community risked normalizing crimes that undermine the principles of justice and stability.

The statement comes at a time when multiple countries across the Middle East have intensified their criticism of Israel’s actions in Gaza. Widespread civilian casualties, destruction of homes, and collapse of basic services have fueled anger and drawn condemnation from governments, humanitarian groups, and international agencies.

By calling the assault a “horrific genocide,” Saudi Arabia has placed itself at the forefront of international voices demanding immediate accountability and stronger protections for Palestinians.
