Rapper Cardi B has spoken out about feeling unsafe after her estranged husband, Offset, briefly posted and quickly deleted a message suggesting he could be the father of her newborn son with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
Offset’s post, which read “My kid lol,” appeared shortly after Cardi announced the birth of her fourth child and her first with Diggs. Although the message disappeared within minutes, screenshots spread across social media, fueling intense speculation and online drama.
Cardi, who joined a late-night X (formerly Twitter) Space to address the situation, said the behavior has crossed the line from annoyance to fear. She described a pattern of harassment lasting more than a year, saying she has received “private messages, threats, and obsessive comments” that she can no longer ignore.
“It’s all jokes until it’s too late,” she said, adding that she now believes her life is in danger. She also claimed to have “every receipt” documenting the troubling communication and publicly hinted that she may involve authorities if the situation continues.
Cardi and Offset, though separated, are still legally married, which complicates matters further. Under Georgia law, a husband is automatically presumed to be the father of a child born during the marriage, a legal detail that many fans pointed out after Offset’s post. Cardi did not directly address the law but showed clear frustration with rumors and claims surrounding her new baby.
Offset has not released a formal statement explaining his message, and representatives for both artists have remained silent.
Cardi’s supporters online have flooded her pages with messages of concern, urging her to prioritize safety and seek protection. The situation highlights the growing pressure public figures face when personal issues become public controversies, especially when amplified by millions of followers and emotionally charged histories.
For now, Cardi appears focused on her newborn and her own well-being. While she said she is “done staying quiet,” she also expressed hope that the drama will stop so she can move forward peacefully with her family.
