The Afghan Defense Forces have issued a sharp warning to Pakistan following recent border clashes, claiming they engaged Pakistan’s military with only a fraction of their strength. A video statement released by Afghan soldiers on Saturday carried a strong message, cautioning Pakistan against any future violation of Afghanistan’s territorial integrity.

In the video, a commander from Afghanistan’s defense ranks said, “We only fought you with 10% of our strength, and you fled from your outposts. If you dare violate Afghanistan’s territory again, we will use 100% of our power against you.”

The statement appears to come amid renewed border tensions between the two countries, particularly around the Durand Line, a disputed border that has been a longstanding source of conflict.

The Afghanistan-Pakistan border has witnessed multiple skirmishes over the past months, as both sides accuse each other of cross-border shelling and violations. Pakistan has repeatedly blamed armed groups operating from Afghan soil for carrying out attacks inside its territory. Kabul, in response, has denied the allegations and accused Islamabad of breaching Afghan sovereignty through air and artillery strikes.

The latest exchange of words follows reports of sporadic firing between security forces stationed on both sides of the border in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces earlier this week.

As of Sunday, there has been no official statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office or military spokesperson in response to the Afghan warning. However, the video has gained traction on social media, amplifying public discussions about the escalating hostility between the two nations.

Regional analysts note that relations between Islamabad and Kabul have deteriorated sharply since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021. Disputes over counterterrorism cooperation and border management have added further strain to an already fragile relationship.

For now, both sides remain on alert along the border, with increased military presence reported in key zones. The warning from Afghan defense forces marks one of the most direct messages yet in the recent cycle of cross-border tensions.
