The Bairabi–Sairang railway line stretches across challenging hilly terrain, linking Mizoram’s capital region to the national network. Built with advanced engineering methods, the line includes several tunnels and bridges to navigate the state’s mountainous geography. Officials highlighted the project as one of the most technically complex in the northeast, aimed at improving both passenger and freight services.
With this inauguration, Mizoram joins the rest of India’s railway map, opening new avenues for trade, travel, and economic growth.
