Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has announced that Israel is seeking the “immediate implementation” of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza. The plan centers on securing the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas, following the group’s statement that it is ready for peace talks.

According to the statement, Israel’s priority is the safe return of hostages. Netanyahu’s office emphasized that this step is urgent and must be carried out without delay. The announcement comes after Hamas indicated it would engage in discussions based on Trump’s framework, which outlines staged actions to reduce tensions in Gaza.

Trump has presented a roadmap aimed at de-escalating the conflict. The first phase of his plan includes the release of all Israeli captives in Gaza in exchange for specific conditions put forward by Hamas. Trump has also publicly called for an immediate ceasefire, stressing that both sides must take steps to prevent further escalation.

Netanyahu’s office underlined that Israel will work closely with Trump and his team to ensure that the plan is carried out effectively. “This is about ending the war in accordance with principles laid out by Israel, which correspond with Trump’s vision for peace,” the statement read.

Despite political announcements, reports from Gaza confirm that Israeli bombardments have continued. This highlights the ongoing gap between diplomatic dialogue and the reality faced by civilians in the conflict zone.

The Israeli government has framed the immediate implementation of Trump’s plan as both a humanitarian necessity and a strategic step toward ending hostilities. While hostilities remain active, officials are pressing for the swift launch of the plan to begin the process of hostage release and eventual de-escalation.
