A trademark dispute that began quietly has now grown into a heated clash between rapper Eminem and “Real Housewives of Potomac” stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon. What started as a legal disagreement over a podcast name has turned into a personal battle, with Eminem accusing the Bravo personalities of harassment during the ongoing case.

The conflict began when Bryant and Dixon filed to trademark the name of their podcast, Reasonably Shady. They planned to use the name across entertainment platforms and on products such as apparel, cosmetics, and home goods. Eminem, who has used the names “Shady” and “Slim Shady” for decades as part of his brand, stepped in to oppose the application. He argued that Reasonably Shady was too close to his well-known trademarks and might confuse consumers or weaken his long-established identity.

For months, the issue stayed mostly within legal filings. But tensions escalated after the court ordered Eminem to give a deposition. According to documents, Bryant and Dixon’s legal team pushed for an 11 a.m. session. Eminem, however, offered a 2 p.m. time slot instead. That difference led the reality stars’ lawyers to complain that he was being uncooperative and making scheduling unnecessarily difficult.

Eminem’s attorney responded sharply, saying the accusations were overblown and part of a pattern of “harassing” behavior from the other side. He argued that disputing a three-hour scheduling difference was unreasonable and that Bryant and Dixon’s team was creating unnecessary drama instead of moving the process forward. The rapper’s attorney also emphasized that Eminem had complied with the court’s requirements and was willing to participate in good faith.

Bryant and Dixon, however, maintain that they have acted responsibly throughout the process. They dispute the claim that their podcast name could cause any confusion with Eminem’s brand and say they intend to defend their trademark application. They also deny that their actions amount to harassment.

As the dispute continues, the situation has shifted from a business disagreement into a high-profile public feud. With both sides standing firm, the trademark battle between the hip-hop icon and the reality-TV stars now appears far from over.
